1991 Mustang GT 5 Spd

I am trying to install a set of flowtech long tubes,

Ok driver side do i need to take out the steering shaft?

Anything i need to remove on the passenger side.

Working on car right now!

Lt's you normally have to lossen the motor mounts and tilt the motor to get enough clearance to get them in.

If your header primary tubes are independent and doesn't have a flange connecting all four tubes, the steering shaft might have to go in between the middle two primary tubes. Which will be numbers 6 & 7 from the front to the rear. As stated above, loosen the motor mounts and jack the engine up as far as you can, get the headers in place and let the engine back down in the K-member.

There is a flange connecting the tubes, Are the motor mounts the only thing i will have to unbolt?

yea you just loosen them up and jack up the motor. you have to get it pretty high to get some clearance. only do one side at a time.

drivers side goes in easier from the bottom, and the steering shaft has to be removed...

you would be much better off if you got rid of those ****hole headers
