I got the car running. there's no leaks or anything but it doesn't want to idle I've checked the maf,iac,tps,and all the vac lines but to no avail and now it sounds like the rockers are hitting on the driver's side but they all seem to be tight.I've turned the engine to see if any would loosen up, but they don't

 

are you running stock rockers and valve covers??

 

yea all the valvetrain is still stock other than the lifters, and I figured out why it wouldn't idle.One of my friends put the plate on the top of the intake before I finished tightening them down.My teacher figured I had a clogged push rod because one of the rockers weren't getting as much oil as the others but I drove it home today b4 work and it seemed fine other than when I got on it, you could hear the rockers along with a whistle

 

check the engine timing?
