Default tie rod replacement

i think i am going to replace the tie rods because i am doing everything else in that area. I am looking at the summit stock replacement.

How would you go about doing this?

Can i just mark the old position and put the new ones on where the mark is?

I am going to get it aligned as soon as I am done.

Count the number of turns it takes to take them off. Reinstalll the same way. Drive straight to the alignment shop.

if you are replacing outers only, then just crack the jam nut and spin off tie rod and spin new one on then go have it aligned as mentioned above.
