So I wanted to get a new catback due to mine rusting out a little and I wanted to go with something a little louder. Currently I have shorty headers, off road H, and a flowmaster catback. I had the SLP LM1 catback on my old 98 GT and I was happy with it. Does anyone have the SLP catback for their foxbody? How do you like it, does it sound ok(or will it sound ok with my setup). Im guessing it will be super loud like my 98.

its too loud... get LM2's or Powerflo's

 

5.0's with Loudmouths sound like trucks. But if you want your Mustang sounding like that, then go for it.

 

Thanks for the input guys!!! Anything else besides its loud and sounds like a truck? I love loud, but Im just worried about the tone. They sounded great on my 4.6

 

Im my opinion they sound great on 4.6s.. but thats a different type of motor. 5.0s are far too loud with the LM1s (and I like LOUD), i have a straight-piped vette and have loud exhausts on all my 5.0s, but they are reasonable. LM1s on a 5.0, with o/r h WILL sound like a truck, kinda toneless and blown out. LM2s are definitely a better choice, and by NO MEANS are they quiet, but sound much better.

 

i completely agree they sound awesome on 4.6's but waaay too dare i say crappy on a fox the lm2 are a much better choice
