backfire/misfire/sputtering
First off: 1990 mustang LX 5 speed with mods.
Basically every so often when i'm accelerating through 2nd and 3rd (not hard) the car will start to backfire/misfire/sputter (is there a difference?) and it will last for like 2-4 seconds i just kinda have to ride it out then it will return back to smoothness. It's kind of hard to explain but hopefully someone can help me. I've changed the plugs and the plug wires but that hasn't seemed to solve the problem.
If anyone could offer some advice that would be awesome.

my car is doing the same thing and I still cant fix it I replaced the msd 6al, the ignition module, the ignition coil, the cap, the rotor It dissapeared and then the other not the car was acting funny but not as bad it wasnt backfiring.
