I sold my shorty headers and i want to buy some long tubes for my car. should i get 1 5/8 or 1 3/4? aslo what long tube brands do you recommend as in quality and fitment?

1-3/4" for sure... they will be great on your 347!

Mac and BBK both make a set

I would go with the BBK 1 5/8 since you got a bigger engine than a stock 5.0....

1 5/8th's is still too small. 1 3/4 with a true 3 inch collector would be very nice,and work very well

Why are there people here telling the OP to buy 1 5/8 headers. He has a FRIGGIN 347!!

JD i couldn't agree more with ya..

fact; my mac 1 5/8 lt's exhaust flange had a 1/8 of an inch diameter blocking exhaust flow on "my" afr 185's....

add that up,and look how much exhaust flow is being bounced back into to the chambers?

then think about the heat that is being kept in a cylinder,cause of it?

Cool thx guys. ill get the 1 3/4. im going to port match them to the exhaust port to make sure it will be nice a smooth.
