I have just had my 302 converted to a 347 stroker with lots of parts...my question is its an 88gt with speed density, i* am converting to mass air, but the engine needs to be run for a little while to check for issues....is it safe to wait a little while to convert it or does it have to be done right away?......Thanks
Thanks for the great answers.....thanks....my plans didnt involve stroking it, we found problems in the bottom end after removing the oil pan for a rear main leak..so now I have a stroked engine with a comp cam afr heads and s.d. obviously i know i need to convert it...but the engine hasnt even been started since the rebuild..so can i convert it now and then fire the engine up?

YOU COULD BUT NORMALLY , That's a mod I'd of done before installing a new motor, meaning I'd of gotten the car to run right on the maf conversion, because now the issue you could run into if you don't get the maf conversion in exactly right, it may not run at all or run right and ten you'll second guess yourself about what the problem may be....either way what's done is done so go for it now
