Default Taurus fan question

ANyone running a taurus fan with a 75amp alternator? I read an article where they said the alternator won't be able to handle the amps the taurus fan pulls.

At idle it will be a major draw. I have a DC Controller module for my Taurus fan, which helps b/c it slowly turns on the fan, avoiding the huge spike that other controllers have. Even then, if I'm sitting at a light, at night, the lights get dim and the blinker slows down.

Just get a 3G from the junkyard, clean it up and install. Very good instructions all over the web for this. It can be done very cheap.

Mine's been doing okay. I also put it in new battery cables since mine were shot and were probably why I had to put an alternator in every two years. I can tell when it kicks in at idle, though. We''l see how it holds up.

I just picked up a 100amp alternator from a mark 7 with the bracket. Hopefully it will do fine with this alt.
