Default msd 6al install

i have installed my ingnition box in the trunk andran the wires to the front increasing wire guage as it went, my question is when its in use my car doesnt run right, its at 10 degrees timin before idk what it is after but it idles hard and misses.
someone had suggested to me that you have to unplug the tfi ignition module and the msd box will control everything. is this possible?
any help will be greatly appreciated

tfi needs to be plugged in. its how the computer controls the ignition system. if you dont believe me unplug it, the car wont start.
