Default What now?

Last Sunday I replaced my water pump because the slow leak I had somewhere became much worse and I thought it woud be a good time to replace the water pump. I was very careful putting this on to prevent leaks. Well, when I finished last week, I poured water and radiator fluid in the resivour. I ran my car to and from work all week with no knows leaks. Now yesterday while driving the low coolant light came on again. I checked the overflow tank and it was pretty low. I filled it up once again with a mixture of water and radiator fluid. I ran my car for 25 minutes looking for a leak. No leaks to be found. I'm wondering if maybe when I filled up the overflow tank the first time that the radiator was pretty empty????? Could this be possible? I'm hoping it was just not filled up enough last weekend and this is my problem.

What do you guys think?

sounds like you had a air pocket in your cooling system that started to work its way out

I think your right. I checked the coolant level yesterday and it was still up where I put it at. So, maybe I'll check it again this weekend to see if the coolant level goes down any.

Yeah, you probably just had an airpocket. I just changed my coolant the other day. It was completely full on Sat., then on Sunday it was down a decent amount. I put more coolant in it and the coolant level has not budged an inch.

make sure it has good heat if so = most likely all air pockets gone and if it still looses coolant, have the system pressure tested
