I believe you have to check the bellhousing bolt holes to make sure man, like that teskid up with the current and see.

If you need another 4v i have a 99xxx mile Lincoln Mark 8 engine im wanting to get rid of for 350.00. Im 100% sure its a Teksid Mark 8 engine and it runs.

FWD transmission bolt patterns are different than RWD.

That I can understand. I didn't know some 4.6's were for FWD. I don't mess with them really so I don't know what uses what with it.
