Default in diffrence in aod's

just wondering if there is any diffrence in a stock aod between years.looking at b and m torque converters and shift kits and they only list to a 92 and they say no listing for a 93 which is mine.i fiqure that they f'd up and they think i have an aode.allso i was looking under my car and have allot of surface rust under the rear quater of my car (around gas tank) and was wondering if any of you know the best way to get rid of it so i can undercoat it again or just keep it from getting worse.she just came back from the body shop with new paint so i don't want to sandblast,i'm thinking grinder and wire cup brush.

don't bother with B&M , they suck and so does TCI

go lentech or precision industries, and get a 3000 or more, any less is too stock

Ultimate Converter is another choice.
i agree with anything less than 3k-3500 is a waste.

sorry i'm so slow on the reply,i was out of town picking up parts.the speed shop i go to was going out of business.picked up a b and m stage 3 shift kit,mac equal shorty's,used bbk 70 mm tb and spacer,3 ford racing guages and a piller guage pod for 300 bucks.i'll stay away from b and m converter.

and rodriguez,i paid 4000,but that is for a color change and fix the rust on the rear hatch.

94stinkinlincon,why do you say anything below 3k is a waste? i really have no idea what i'm talkin about with torque converts but have read that for street machines 2500 or 2800 is the best combo(mostly mmff mag)looking to spin the tires every now and then but just have fun with her.what would it do say on the highway running 2200 rpm with a 3500 stall?belive me i don't want to lose to a cobalt but i live in the middle of nothing and have to travell 600 miles to find a traffic light. thompson manitoba canada, look it up and you'll see what i mean.

stall speed is "advertised" based on hypotheticals

the heavier the car, the higher it will flash
the more hp, the higher it will flash

so you want a real life 2500-2800-ish MINIMUM, which means you need advertised 3k or more

fox's are light, and low hp so they flash WAY lower, i had a tci 2200 and it felt just like stock, maybe raised 200 tops but i doubt it

on the freeway it'll be fine, like normal, it's not like it doesn't move under 3k..... thats not how it works
