As long as you know what to expect, have at it. Dropped ones are good to lower the center of gravity as well as allow a taller intake with the stock hood. What are your plans for the engine?

Question, guys who are saying solids are so bad, do you or have you had them in a mustang? I put mine in with a slight worry I would have more vibration - I didn't notice any extra vibration, and I DD my car almost 100 miles a day when it is sunny out.

I'm not speaking through experience with a Mustang, I've only experienced the bad vibrations with an import.

I've ridden in cars that use them. Several years back, I had a friend with a 89 Foxbody with solids. I don't recall what all he did to the engine but I know it was lopey (cam) and I hated riding in it.
