4 cyl to 302???

Default 4 cyl to 302???

I just purchased my second stang just 3 weeks ago a 92 mustang lx. Right now it has a 4cyl but i want to drop a 5.0 in it, I know im deff going to need a new rearend i alredy found a motor and trans but am just wondering what im getting myself into. Im going old school with it so its going to be carbed.

basically the shell of the car will remain and you need to remove all the drivetrain, it's a healthy project, I did such a few years back

need to get an 8.8 rear end, all the other v8 parts like sway bars, control arms/springs ect. There is much more to the swap than changing the motor/trans/rear end.

Im going to have to replace the control arms and what not, is that just because of the placement of the motor and transmission or just because the stock stuff wont handle the weight and added horsepower and torque.

For the placement of the motor the main thing involved are motor mounts, trans xmember, and driveshaft.

The springs need changed because they have different spring rates due to the 5.0 weighing alot more.

Stock 5.0 rear control arms can't even handle a 5.0

I thought the 4 cyl and 5.0 arms were the same... but I may be wrong.
