Default Tinting tail lights

Well sadly i lost one of my taillights on the highway the other day somehow.

I want to get just normal lx taillights and tint them myself, does anybody have a write up on this? I would just buy the smoked ones again, but i don't like the fact there is no red tint to it.

5.0stanger i liked your taillights, did you just buy the tint spray?

I need help.

Oh besides 50resto does anybody know where i can get new cheap lx tails?

Thanks in advance.

You can buy cheap vinyl peices and lay it yourself, or buy that VHT Niteshades. The Nitshdes stuff has a but of metallic reddish in it so it help if your lenses not red.

5pointohh what did you do to yours?

they look really dark which is kinda what i'm going for.... the ones i had if light shined on them at nighttime they looked like a grey and i didn't like it.

Can you even see your taillights during the day? or are you constantly worried someone is going to crash into you?

daytime driving they are dark as hell. black looking. but as soon as the lights go on they are bright red and white for reverse. they look amazing at night.

i used VHT night shades. they are very glossy shiney during the day like stock lights too. i used gloss clear after 3 coats of VHT. 600grit sanding when starting, wipe down with grease cutting soap. then after each coat wet sand 600 grit, clear coat twice.

Looks like you got the wrong tail lights for stock on your car.

its not that aftermarket or making changes sucks. Its just that I like a stock look often times rathr than all the aftermarket junk.
