Default Another get to know ya thread....

I was just wondering what other projects you 5.0 guys have going on. I have been hitting my truck pretty had the last few months. Tonight, I just finished installing 4.88 gears.

Then I have this little one going on...it is a 78 Suzuki GS 750 that I got for $50.....I now have a little more than that into it doing a full resto on it, making it into a cafe racer. It just needs paint now and a couple other small things.

Everyone else please share, gives me something to look at!

I was workin on painting my stang, as well as making my Dodge into more of a hardcore wheeling machine(installing front locker and some long arms on front axle), then last week ran into a major snag and both are set back a bit.

I had to put the stang back together front paint prep so I could drive it until I get the truck's trans rebuilt.

Dodge (wheeling machine/work)

Other truck resto project

And stang (before teardown and paint prep) in sig

That there's a cch special Hand built... I can't weld but sure as hell can fiberglass. Engine made 300 hp (flywheel obviously since there's no wheels) and that's backed by a hamilton jet.

sweet!! jet drive!!! did it have a place diverter on it?? meaning did it shoot the rooster tail up in the air?? my Dad sold his Taylor SS last year and I was sad to see it go i'D OFTEN HEAD OVER TO HIS PLACE IN THE EVENINGS after work for a quick ride in it, it was jet drive and had a 383 stroker in it and was cammed up and loud and fast..we'd loose track of the speed at 60 mph as the speedo would start bouncing as the boat hopped across the water

I had a boat we had to sell last year, but I had planned on using some of the money to finish the 95 and also buy a 69 Fastback to start on with my 429TJ in storage ;-)

I've got an ongoing project that was centerstage before the mustang. In my garage sits my rust free 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. When I picked it up it had about 98,000K miles, shot mechanical systems, but primarily no rust. It orginally was Mulsanne Blue with a black vinyl top and blue interior. The previous owner gave it a freshening up which basically consisted of repainting it white with blue stripes, removing the vinyl top but keeping the blue interior.

I replaced/corrected alot of trim on the car.
Replaced the 4 wheel manual drums with 4 wheel power discs.
Replaced the shot, non-SS suspension with a complete package from Hotchkis with Global West parts to fill in the gaps.
Replaced the 10 bolt open rear end with a Strange Dana-60 with 35 spline Detroit Locker w/ 4.11s.
Replaced the steering set-up with new/aftermarket parts.

I've got a zz502/502 GMPP crate motor in the garage that's going in when I get the rad/accessories/fuel system/700R4 tranny.
