Default 2step without an ign box?

i want some type of a rev limiter on my car so i don't have to worry about over revving. but with my set up I don't really need an ignition box and just wondered if they make 2steps that don't require a box? plus it seems like they don't make any reliable ign box's, so i would rather stay away from them until need be. Thanks for any help.

better driver mod?

how you come up with that? mallory is very reliable. i hear more stories about msd failures than mallory and summit combined(which they already are since its the same product )

very good point. pretty much every ign box failure i've heard of is an msd unit, and a 6al at that. lol. I've been looking at the summit box's, didn't know they were the same as mallory.

yeah driver mod would be nice lol. I plan on flat floor shifting at the track and at other times and don't want to risk over revving my car.

Crane used to have a whole kit that came with a coil and box. I think the box had a built in 2 step with a limiter for just around 200 beans if I remember right.

Is your car back running again?

I got the crane cam HI-6R and it cost more than 200 beans alone
plus that lx92 with was another 75-80 but it does have a 2 step on the
box and I would trade mine for nothing.... I like the CRANE but it's probably
or was close to 400 for the box and the coil to go with it.

no its not, since my block was .040 over i couldn't take any more out of the cylinders and it needed another .010 bored out to clean it up. So i just went with one of my builders spare blocks, which we're going to keep stock bore this time. and the block should be done at the machine shop this week so hopefully soon it'll be running agian.

yep. powershift. if you've never tried/practiced it... might wanna practice before you try it WOT. just hold the throttle 1/4-1/2 throttle, then shift as fast as you possibly can just barely gettin the clutch completely pressed in and make sure you understand how it works. hate to f up your motor first time you try it

perfect example in a stang

I power shift the stang and the contour when racing. Just need to learn how to do it.
