Default sd question

what all can you do on a speed density car without needing a tune or swapping to maf? would things like bolt ons(cai, tb, pulleys, full exhaust) be alright?

I had ported heads, intake, tb, underdrives, 1.7rr and was running 13.5 to 13.7 with 3.73 gears and a 5 speed. It ran good too, no issues.
