Boy do you ask a lot of questions. LOL! It's better to be safe than sorry. When it comes to the powerpipe, the AFM PP part # AF-0101C is the one you need. If you want to save $$ go with the UPR Boostmaster pipe. it's the same design but is made of molded plastic. It will fit well. But I have 0 complaints with my AFM powerpipe and it will really make your Vortech scream. Also, the powerpipe is the tube that leads from the SC to the fenderwell. Your MAF and airfilter will connect at the end of the powerpipe. The only drawback to the powerpipe is you will have to cut a hole in the fenderwell. It is easy to do, but will take a bit of time. Plus the powerpipe will be a snug/tight fit so it may take a bit of prodding to get it to fit to the Vortech. Since the Vortech V3 is self lubricated, installation should not take more than two days by yourself including the PP and that is with easy wrenching and taking lots of breaks. The only hard problem will be bending your A/C line to accomodate the pulley system. Your car is almost 20 years old so the line will be fragile. You will need some one to hold it while you gently bang it with a hammer. You could also use a small pipe bender if available. BTW, I broke my A/C line due to my carelessness. With the upper radiator hose, for my year, I had it cut an inch and a half I believe. The Vortech kit will include detailed instructions. And when you are done, you can drive it to the dyno. It will probably not run great, but it will make it there. But DO NOT go into boost. Prior or during install, I would replace your fuel filter and get new spark plugs. Autolite 3924's(one heat range colder) work great(cheap too, less than $15 for 8). Gap them to .028 to prevent spark blowout. It will rally help you for the dyno tune too. Overall, the install should be easy. When done, make sure the MAF is securely tightend and clocked correctly(MAF electronics/connector should point in the direction of the blower), and make sure all tubing is sealed and tightend correctly. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
