Default The Right Stuff?

I am in the middle of resealing my timing cover and I have a question about the gasket maker known as The Right Stuff. I am old school and planned on using Perma Tex #2, gasket, then Perma Tex #2 on the other side and clamp it down like I have done for 30 years. I am hearing rants and raves about The Right Stuff. Anybody have any experience with it? How well did it perform for you? Thanks.

I don't typically us gasket sealer on the timing cover with a new gasket. Never had one to leak as long as the sufaces are clean and gasket is new.

Mine was leaking around the driver side coolant passage. Do you not seal that?

If you have a surface that is not smooth, like many around the coolant passages, you can use a thin layer of sealant just around the coolant passages.
Many make the mistake of using too much sealant and then not getting the proper torque and gasket depression.

I have used "the right stuff" for the last 10 years it has sealed stuff where black rtv wouldn't, the right stuff is like glue, literally you'll need a pry bar to pop the cover off, never had a prob with it
