i am in the process of getting everything to rebuild most of my motor. i just want to put new rings on the pistons for now and put a set of AFR 165cc heads with a E303 cam, Trickflow street heat upper and lower intake, 70 mm throttlle body and possibly some new injectors.

any thoughts on this set up would be awesome.
i would get a 4 bolt main block if i could afford it, but i just want this to last until then.

 

some 24# injectors and a better cam and you're ready to rock.
letter cams are garbage, a Steeda #19 with some 1.7RR would work great, so would a TFS 1, small COMP, or (as always) a custom grind.

 

cam choice heads??? I'd perfer 185's at least and intake?? depends on head and cam choice...I'd have a custom cm whipped up

 

Well since you're hauling out the pistons, it'd be a good time to change (atleast check) your main bearings and your oil pump as well. I know it adds up.. but a new thermostat wouldn't hurt either. Good luck!

 

thx for the suggestions so far. i/ve heard some of thos other cams run better in a 5.0 than the ford ones. im just tryin to not brak the bank. i'm goin to be doing this 5 months before my 30 k loan payments kick in
