Question What can I expect with 3.73s?

I have a 95 GT manual with only exhaust done and I want to put on 3.73 gears. What performance should I see?

gears are one of the best things you can do performance wise for the price. i have 3.73's in my cobra now, will be changing to 4.10's when they come in tomorrow. you won't regret going to a higher gear.

I ran 14.0 @ 99mph with a 1.992 60' with just full exhaust, 3.73s and some minor suspension work (springs and shocks/struts) and i put down 215rwhp and 274rwtq

i think thats what you are looking for

Why are you going to 4.10s?

In other words you're saying they're a good bang for the buck, heh?

oh yeah, very good bang, i put in 3.73's b/c i was commuting from GA to VA couple times a month. 4.10's make you rev a bit higher so if your doing alot of interstate driving its gunna get old. now that i'm out of the military and live back in VA i don't run hundreds of miles, and those 4.10's kill. my buddy had a 4.6l 98gt bone stock with some 4.10's and it'd about break your neck. 1st gear was almost unuseable, but he could break traction in 3rd gear. with my 3.73's from stock, it rips through the rpms way better than it used to, good smooth rush from 1,000-7,000 no lag when shifting.

Well this mustang is gonna be a garage car in a year, and if I do drive it freeway it's less than 20 mins. So I am debating which gears to choose.

i have 3.73's, go 4.10's if its gunna be a garage car. with 3.73's you'll still be able to go like 140/150mph... where are you gunna do that.. .and how often? i want to be able to hit 110/120 in half the time. and also have that badass torgue that puts you in the back seat whenever you touch the gas pedal.
