i just picked up a '95 GT with the 5.0. I'm wondering if theres any inexpensive ways to gain horsepower. thanks

 

advance the timing run 94 octane but as anyone will tell you good,fast,cheap youll only ever get 2 out of 3 but what do u consider inexpensive

 

Is your car completely stock? If so, remove the air silencer inside the fender and plug in a K&N air filter. There's no need run a junky chrome CAI. Yes, you can also bump the timing to about 14 degrees. You will need a timing light. If your car has high mileage, I would give it a full tune-up(new plugs, wires, cap n' rotor, oil change, fuel filter & clean the mass air flow sensor w/electrical contact cleaner). Your car will run better and smoother. You can also purchase a pair of Summit brand headers(made by Pacesetter apparently) for $100 off of Summit Racing. Again, these are just a few things to get you started.
