I worked out with a guy at the gym that had an 89 with a 347 and a Paxton on it.That car hauled.
I've heard that the newer 347 kits have resolved the wrist pin issue,but I haven't personally seen a car locally running one that I have any results to go by.
go to New England Dragway this wednesday night and look for the REALLY loud black cobra with the front end cover.... I'll show you a "short rod" 347 which doesnt have the oil burning problems of the 5.4" rod 347's
the moral of the story is.. unless you are a racer that is restricted to a certain engine size for a particular class that you run in, If you are building a stroker motor, there is no reason NOT to build a 347. (with a 302 block ofc)
