Default gt40 plug type

i know,i have tried the search function but...........many people recommened autolite plugs but my local store doesn't carry it and don't want to wait for it to be shipped.lots of searches and what i ended up with was ngk tr55gp that fits a 95 cobra svt and 97 explorer.many said 93-95 cobra and 96-01 explorer but 93,94 cobra diffrent,96 explorer diffrent than 97.but that's from one parts store.just worried cause the other year cobras are shorter just want to make sure.my engine is tdc so in theroy if it screws in #1 i'm good right?thanx and sorry for the beat issue.

not saying your wrong, but his computer for those years said 5.0 exept 95 cobra r was 5.8.my only two choices were ngk or bosch plat's and i've heard bad things about bosch.if they are for 4.6 i don't want em either but i want to get running.any ideas?they sell champion, ngk,ac delco, bosch.they only had two types in stock.but i just want to know what year and vehicle can i go the counter and ask them for plugs.again they are gt-40 irons.(3bars)and yeah i hate jap stuff too.

just give them the part number, don't tell them make or model, or it'll end up in a "that won't work" argument

I am looking all over the place to figure out what heads I have. I pulled my plugs out tonight after my swab from fi to carb and the plugs are longer than what 5.0 plugs should be. Last time I had this problem, it was because the heads ended up being gt 40. This time I can't seem to figure it out. the plugs are a 4309 plat +2 bosch. Would those possibly be for a gt40? Not sure just looking for some help.
