Should I Drop the Downstream Cats?
I am having some rusted through exhaust pipe replaced on my '86 GT. Everything on the car is stock.
The exhaust pipe I am replacing happens right after the second set of cats.
The shop guy said he can just drop the second set of cats when he is putting in the new pipe, if I want.
Would you drop the second set of cats downstream or leave them and only have him replace the pipe?
Is there any advantages or disadvantages of dropping these cats?
Any help would be great.

I live in Van Wert County in Ohio, and to my knowledge there is No emissions testing in this county.
