SAMV; Just go ahead and call CHP, they have very knowledgable folks on staff and can answer your questions. They have an amazing amount of stuff at there place and even using a twisted wedge head won't slow them down. It didn't in my case.
DO NOT get the kit balanced by them. Have that done locally. No one can balance anything unless they have the balancer and flezplate/flywheel that you are going to use...

SAMV, do you want tostay hyd. roller for the street/strip type deal or what?
Also, you are going to get to do some grinding on the very bottom of the cylinders for rod clearnce on that 302 block.

Yes to staying hydrolc roller, and the grinding i have read about but i dont really know to much?

ok well the kits on its way!!! motor is gunnna be done tomo! next quistion, what intake manifold should i go with? sorry for all the Q's but i wanna do this right, im goin to be carbed so help please:/

TMD in Riverside, CA has a template kit to show you just where to grind on the block. It's easy enough, takes maybe 30 minutes.
