well, i got a email from the machine shop today, this is what they told me.

R&R (remove & replace) Cam Bearings
R&R Freeze Plugs
Align Hone Mains – NOTE: We need to see the windage tray to determine if the fasteners are correct
Bore and Torque Plate Hone
Grind Crankshaft
Remove Pistons From Rods
Resize Connecting Rods
File-Fit Rings
Balance Rotating Assembly – Due to piston replacement
Install Pistons On Rods
Assemble Rotating Assembly Into Block
Dura-Bond F-18 Cam Bearings
Brass Freeze Plug Kit
Clevite CB1227P-10 Rod Bearings
Clevite MS590H-10 Main Bearings
SRP 140689 Forged Flat Top Pistons
Total Seal CR3690-35 Race Ring Set
Labor: 1125.71

Honestly, you can get a ready to go 347 short block for that price from places such as CHP........IT WAS GONNA COST ME 1700.00 FROM a local machine shop to redo my 302 so I just went and found a "my loss is your gain" on the corral/ reduilt 302/306 for 650.00
on another note, are my edelbrock rpm heads bottlenecking the performance of this engine? i see people running 205's and 225's AFR's and such on 347 and i know my rpms are nowhere near that.
its not coming out of my pocket so im not really that worried about the price. i just feel bad for my parents.
