A C4 is a fairly basic transmission. Honestly, with the work Ive seen you do, you could handle it if you wanted. I built mine in the spring. I had a Ford tech watching over me also. There are plenty of places that sell quality parts to fill it with at fair prices. The converter is so important; I had the wrong stall for awhile and it made things very frustrating for me. I can tell you who NOT to get one from if you pm me Good luck

haha thanks bud! i just want something that i have a warrenty on.

Buy the first one, if it goes ill rebuild it tho for sure... Thinking really hard about the redneck transmission

haha no problem, its a hardwood.

It took me 3 tries to get one that wasnt cracked from summit, ups kept f ing them up!

But ya the fit and finish was great, and in the black primer it comes in it looks pretty good

Haha cool, I have heard good things about them. Im looking at Harwood and VFN.

PM if you want before you buy anything as I have alot of info that could help you make a good decision. There are places I would stay away from but dont want to publicly try and hurt a business. Good luck

check out clickclick.com they have alot of info on the c-4,aod, aode,c-6. the c-4 is the easyest trans to build


ps im a trans tech at a buddys shop.

ya thats the way im leaning right now...

Ive rebuilt stuff myself before, sure i could do it. But with all the work i have to do on the car, buying the trans is one less thing i have to do myself... lol
