Default What gives?

I recently ran the car in my signature at the drag strip ( 1/4 mile) and to my disappointment it ran a 15.6 at 88.7 mph. Thats slower than stock. Im at a total loss, whats wrong with this thing. It seams to run fine, its just really slow. what do you guys or gals think? I had no wheel spin and .086 reaction times, I will look at my time slips again tomorrow but I think my 60 foot time was 2.7, thats terrible! 1/8 mile time was around 10.5 im really not happy with this thing, it should have done better than that.

ok, so you have intake, cam, exhaust. the auto and a 2.7 short time is killing you. 3.73's ain't helpin you either

The 3:73 arent in yet, im gonna put those in this winter along with the new trans and stall converter, I would still belive that I would run a better time than a stock 5.0,

outdated cam, and upper/lower cant do much with stock heads either...

the prob is, you are comparing your ride to times of a 5 speed car, and if you didn't put matching springs on the heads with the e-cam = a total waste then, and to sum it up you need to put that tranny and stall in and upgrade to a real h/c/i

yours is a 5 speed and fyi reaction times have nothing to do with how fast you get to the end of the track

So you have the stock gears in? That's a BIG part of the problem

oops yours is AOD. Yes I know reaction time has nothing to do with the final time, I was pointing out the fact that we have very similar RT, and I am a noob at the track.

stock aod and stock gears. Your in the right area there guy. Like already said the intake and cam really isn't helping you much at all. Are they better than stock? Yea of course. The heads are holding you back now. After you get that trans, converter and gears installed get a set of heads and a set of tires.
