Go with more research and figure out what you want to do, your budget, and if you can do it yourself. Your motor isn't the only place that needs some help. Any pics????

Vehicle: 1993 ford mustang gt
I have a 93 cobra

I'm confused as to which car that you have. The engines are a bit different in the two cars.

Copycat, I asked him the same thing in his heater core thread lol. That one just didn't have anything to do with differences the two cars have though lol

if it is an actual cobra, i say, clean it up and keep it original. If its clean and matching numbers its technically a collector item.

In the other post he says it is a 93GT with a 93 cobra crate motor with a Cobra intake.

But yes, it depends on what you want out of the car. Trick Flow twisted wedge heads and stage 1 cam would be a good upgrade.
I have a GT40 headed 96 5.0 going in my Stang soon that has the stage 1 TF cam in it. Runs pretty strong. My heads have been milled .020 and have been ported.

All this and I have never seen a crate motor sold with GT40P heads. Not trying to knock what your saying OP. Just don't want the wrong info out there.
