well ill probably just get one from junkyard cause i need my car for work and school and i dont think i can wait 1 week if i order one online, ok so by reading on that write up i leave the d plug alone which is going to connect to 3g and i cut other connector with 3 wires which has the two fat wires and the little black\white stripe, and i need a stator plug to connect that black\w-stripe wire and i connect other 2 fat wires with a terminal ring and is going to go connected to stud in back of 3g, and i run a 4 gauge also with a fuse to starter solenoid is this right
thanks for info everybody i just installed the alt i was able to find a 3g alt with the factory harness in the back so i didnt have a problem installing it. Now next on my list is installing an electric fan
Here is a list of vehicles that have the 3G alternator, most are 130A, but some might be 110A:
94-96 Mustang 3.8 V-6
94-95 Mustang 5.0
94-96 Thunderbird 3.8 V-6 (non SC)
95-96 Windstar 3.0 V-6 (most are 3.8's)
93-96 E/F series Trucks/Vans 4.9 L6*
96 Sable 3.0 V-6
94-96 Cougar 3.8 V-6
*Probably the best one if you can get it (should be easy to find, too) is off the E/F series...this series uses a
threaded top ear like the stocker on the Mustang....E/F series with threaded ear uses metric bolt. ALSO, make sure
the E/F series is 130 Amps and NOT 95.
**Thanks mattdel for this information you gave me a few years back.
