Default 1994 gt

Got a electrical question, my worst area. We bought it with this issue. When you turn on the headlights the dingier under the dash dings.
It had a loose key ignition, we replaced that just needed it. All works fine now but still the dinging. My son just tried a new light switch, still dinging. Thats all I know that he has done. Any thoughts ????

That ding is supposed to sound whenever the door is open with the key in the ignition, or the lights are on. Do your interior lights function properly? My thought is that the door switch on either or both doors is damaged. So the switch is telling the circuit the door is open, thus making the ding.

I missed a thread on this, did what I wanted to do, unplug. Son was going the other direction, but he learned some things so it's all good. Too this point everything is working correct with it unplugged.
Thanks DW

Well, I totally understand, but with limited help on this, at least driving at night is dinging free. Like I said electrical and me don't get along.
