Default 82 GT Build

Well I have been working on this for quite a while now. Here's my progress so far. Basic stock build. 86 roller block all forged with stock heads and cam. Just replaced a tired flat tappet engine and cleaned up the engine bay a little.

Before

After

I also got a pair of Bullits from my friend for $80 bucks. I get a discount at my work O'Reillys and got the rotors off a ranger for $17 a piece. I had my buddy who works at a machine shop bore the center of the wheel out so the dust cap will fit through and now I just need to modify the wheel cap to fit. So I saved a bit on my five lug swap. Really just an experiment to see if it can be done this way with no problems.

Let me know what you guys think

Right now im gonna get the 5 lug swap completed. Im saving for a paint job this summer. Im gonna go with a dark metallic charcoal gray from an 02 thunderbird. Ill fix the bumper when I do that. Im really tempted to do a cheap turbo build like Fivepointohh did a while ago. Im really considering it right now

did you just get a whole new motor or did u build the original?

you have 10.5" bullits for the rear right? how do you plan on getting those to fit? and what size tire are you going to run?

I'm afraid of Nitrous.

Yeah 10.5's in the back, im gonna run a 315 tire. I have the quad shocks out, probably have to dump the exhaust and I have a rather large hammer in my garage. haha

It's not the original motor. I had a rod knock in original so I figured why not upgrade to a roller cam? It went through the machine shop for the treatment and basically everything is new but the pullies, alternater, powersteering, and distributor.

Car should have been started tonight but after messing with the starter for a few hours I called it quits. The solenoid clicks but nothing from the starter. Check all the connections and it looks good. Im thinking maybe the battery lost its juice from sitting for so long?

yea prob. did you try jumping it?

and damn a 315 is gonna be one tight fit back there. i was thinking like a 295 or something. or is that too small for the rim?

Yeah Its gonna be hard but i love how it looks.

http://forums.corral.net/forums/show....php?p=8078003 maybe you can help me with this. Went to start the car tonight and turned the key and the solenoid just clicked. nothing from the starter. I replaced the starter the starter cable and the solenoid. I know the solenoid has to be grounded as well and thats by its case but im just confused as to why im not getting anything from the starter?
