Default Biggest Tires

I just picked up a set of 15x7 centerline prostars 4 lug. I was wondering what the biggest tire is i can fit in there, without rolling fenders, and deleting the quad shocks. I have 225's all around right now, not cutting it for me.

Are those the tires in your sig? I wanna get big *** tires in the back. I heard that maybe 315 is the widest you can go without hitting the quad shock?

^^ lies! ur gonna need to do some work to get those to fit

i have yokohama s.drive 275/40/17 on the rear and my car is lowered about an inch. i kept the quad shock but i did bend up the fender lip a little with a 3lb hammer (slowly worked it) it came out just fine and was easy to do.

i had a 255/45/17 i believe and those fit just fine

So i should be shooting for 275 50s then. What are some decently priced street tires? I live in cali so not worried about rain too much.

run some nitto drag radials. they last for a long time and have better grip than street tires. the nittos are more of a street tire than a drag radial. i ran them for a while

I'm running zr17/40/275 in the rear also. No mods needed but I have adjustable spring perches. Larger sidewalls reduce your SAFETY in high speed cornering and also moronic drag launches.

probably not gonna work for you

a 255/60/15 or whatever equals a 26X10.50X15 is all you can do or will be able to do

the 275's are like a 11.50 wide tire and will rub even with quads off, you'll see where they hit the fenderwell and get cut up

if they do not rub there... you'll have the issue that you are only using a 7" wide rim for a 11 1/2" tire and the sides will roll up and you'll have les than a 10" tire even on the ground.

need minimum 8" rim for a tire that wide

How do you figure. Most everyone on here runs a 275 w/o any problems. The only way that would happen is if his rims are less then a 5.5" b/s. I agree that an 8" rim would be better but he can still get them on a 7" rim.

To the O/P, what's the backspacing on the rims you bought. That will also make a difference.
