Hey, nice forum. I've been looking at my first stang, a 1990 GT, 25 anniversary with a 150,000mi and was wondering what problem areas to look for. How was this models performance? Any info would be great. Thanks

start off by reading the forums area

Biggest problems? Rust and immature drivers.

If your engine is strong, then like most other foxes it is capable of high 14's stock. The GT has the same mechanicals as any LX except for the exhaust tips and fog lights. The exterior is the only real difference.

 

id be cautious of looking at a car with 150k miles. check it good for rust, and also be cautious of anything they will tell you thats wrong because it could be a small problem related to a large one.

 

yeah i would just look for rust and check to see if it has mods done to the motor thats an easy way to tell if its been beat
