hey im pretty new to the stroker setups. i have good knowledge just not with these! i have a 82gt. just found its a 91ho in it based on the block and crank castings. motor is completely apart and wondering if i would be happy with the 331 and what all it entails to do it. thanks everyone

I have a Dart 331 and probably should have gone for a 347. I originally wanted to keep my Ecam for smog and my AFR 165s..... BUT I Sold my 165s on craigslist and bought AFR185s and a nx274hr cam all in the same day.
This enabled me to upgrade to a 331 from CHP for only dollars more.
Because I have a blower (V-1 maxed out) and only 42# inj. I was maxing my fuel system out and decided that 331 will be enough.
If I were gonna go NA I would go 347. I know there was a stipulation a while back about the wear on a 347 because of the geometry of the increased crank throw. I dont think its an issue now-a-day but do your research.
but keep in mind every upgrade is a domino effect. Bigger cubes = bigger fuel and air = more $$$.

Vtecwho...Truer words were never spoken
I planned on new heads tb and turned into a new Dart 347 stroker heads intake tb mass air and a large withdraw from the bank

Well A freind and i both done one of each with the almost identical topends just to see the difference, i went 347 he went 331, he spent prolly 3000$ more in just his bottomend alone!
we have the same heads almost identical cams, and about the same intakes, because we had the same question! we arent all the way done yet so we dont have our answers yet so will keep you guys updated!
i wanna know the fuel consumption, power levels etc also, we`ll know when we hit the dyno!
Keep in mind your parts selection will make or break you, you dont have to spend a fortune on one to have something worth building!
But you can also break the bank at the same time lol!!

^^^ True True.
I'd go 347 no matter what, no reason not to. And as far as "wear on a 347 because of the geometry of the increased crank throw", if you get your bottom end from anyone whos reputable and knows wtf they are doing that should never be an issue.

When I bought my AFR 185s and increased the cubes to 331 my gas mileage went "ka-put"!!
keeping in mind that I did not upgrade supercharger pulley or my injectors, just heads, cam and intake to match a 331 from my 302.
I had a DAMN near perfect idle with my TwEECer tune that I DID not change to match my 331. My 302 ran out of fuel at 5000rpms so a 255 fuel pump was put it and alleviated the problem.
302 w 10psi AFR 165 E303 cam- Freeway best of 19.8: average 16mpg
331 w 8psi AFR 185s and Gnarly NX274HR cam. Freeway best of 15.8 and average 13-14mpg: 80/20 highway/city.
....but a Butt load more horse power......
