Default Pinion Angle

So I have been driving the car since I installed the new stuff and it has been awesome! The only problem is a TERRIBLE vibration that comes in at around 60 mph. Is this the pinion angle? How do I adjust it with non adjustable control arms?

(I put new control arms in a couple of weekends ago)

did you install gears? if so and they are higher then 3.55's i heard they will cause i vibration in the driveshaft if you still use the stock one because the shaft is spinning so fast.

Yeah I did a while back. 3.73's. There wasn't a vibration then but that was also before the manual conversion. So you don't think that the CA's could cause it?

they very well could have... which is why (now that I know better) i will always suggest an adjustable upper control arm.

I bought non adjustables, and have been fighting a vibration ever since

probably a stupid question but when you installed the control arms, did you torque them down while the suspension was compressed?

whats the pinion angle now?

No, I torqued them down while the car was raised in the air. I have no clue what the pinion angle is at right now. How in the world can they even sell non adjustables if this type of thing can happen?

sounds like you need to hit on team z for some adjust-ables and put that pinion angle to -2* -3 for drag racing

needs to be torqued down while the suspension is loaded. just jack it back up, put the rear end on jack stands and then retorque. might help, might not. if not, look into adjustable upper arms and like 5.0kid said, check out team z for pinion angle adjustment info

YES, I'd love them if you can part with em. How much would you like for them? I'll pm you.

(trying to get this car ready for Midnight Madness at Gateway in March)
