Default rev limiter

hey guys i got a question i have a 1990 mustang gt all stock besides exhaust but i was wondering if it has a rev limiter cause i was racing around and i looked at the tach and i was a 6 grand before i shifted it kinda scared me

i dont think they do.... i have an 88 5.0 no rev limiter there

I wouldn't rely on the accuracy of a factory tach, stock ecm controled rev limit is 6250

Why does everyone dog the stock tach? When doing my emissions/inspection my tach was spot on what the computer screen said...
