don't know how well these illustrate what I did, but I'm using the moroso 7qt pan and pick up with it, with the girdle, pro tray and pick up a stock pan was not sufficient.....I had to dimple as it was the moroso pick up and re heat it and bend to fit just right, then set the pick up clearance, took 2 hrs to get it just right

but otherwise, that thing is gonna MOVE...

+1 for 331's
the TFS 3 would have been too big for my flat top pistons and definitely too much cam for the total package.

i will only be spinning about 6500, so if you do the math a 600 is about right. atleast until i save up for a 750 double pumper.

i bought the engine as a rotating shortblock minus the cam. so the girdle and oil pickup were already on the engine. not sure what p/n's to use.

everybody has been saying that, but i kinda like them. it sets it apart from every other fox on the road. i dont want the overdone cobra look, or even the bss fanboy look. gotta do some shopping to find just the right wheel. looks are the last thing on my list right now anyway.

Oh dear, parts choosing based on the ole antiquated formula....where do I start to shoot that myth back to the past??? care to see numerous examples that poke holes in that theroy?? like a 289 with a 950 that is totally steetable?? lol the ole formula of rpm and CID = carb size

yeah the formula is more of a general rule of thumb. gives a baseline to start at.

but hey the car is together now...and it runs. this is the first car i have ever build and i was so nervous. im uploading the break-in video to youtube now, so i'll post the link when its done.
