Alright please don't post and say it's your car do what you want. I'm looking for some advise / feelings from other passionate mustang lovers specifically 5.0 guys. If you have the time take a look at my album, I think my notch is pretty special. But I'm torn I'm really tempted to sell the car and find a nice low mileage 03' 04' Mach 1. The cobras are too expensive, and for the price the Mach 1 brings awesome performance with modern technology. I like the idea of having a more collectable mustang and I think the Mach will have that demand one day...not so sure of my 88. What do you guys think? Thanks all, hopefully I'll have the chance to see some constructive comments.

 

your asking a bunch of guys who drive 5.0s if you should ditch the 5.0 and get a mach 1? what kind of answer do you think your going to get? most will tell you to keep the 5.0

go to the mach 1 section of the forum and youll get the opposite answer.

I would of got a mach 1. I just dont want a note. Plus its cheaper to mod something you own and aren't making payments on.

 

I would go for the mach, Those have always been my favorite new edge.

As far as collectible goes, Im almost positive that down the road a limited run specialty model (the mach) will be worth more than a more or less base model (lx). However personally Id rather enjoy the car than keep the miles off of it and preserve it.

If you are looking for demand down the road the mach gives you the chance to get one thats not modded.

 

your question here is like asking an eskimo if he should give up his igloo at the north pole........want sympathy/affirmation of what you have already decided in your mind, I see these loaded questions here everyday, they are designed to makes oneself hopefully feel good and get responses that support the decsion that has already been made in your mind, so go get the MACH, that's what you wanna hear isn't it?? or simply go ask the s197 brothers to to tell you what you wanna hear. You want something special?? Mach 1 is not that special... Go buy a 93 cobra R or late 60s gt500. I'm sure you want/will beat the **** out of that mach 1 so just stay with the 5.0.

technology? if your into modding you can make a 1920s car as technologically advanced as a 2011 car.
