the IRS is staying for my next Mustang, and im keeping the SRA too. spindles and pretty much everything else that Fox guys want of an SN is up for grabs, i just need to keep the shell and title for a donor vehicle.

with that being said...

the engine for the '33 was ordered today

keep in mind the car only weighs MAYBE 2300lbs WITH my fat *** in it, so i dont need the end-all of engines to be happy...

but what i did get was:

Fordstrokers bare block, .030" over

DSS racing X5 long rod 306 rotating kit (5.400" rod), 6cc TF dome pistons, neutral balance, bearings and Total Seal moly-rings

TF FAC heads 64cc chambers. CR should be about 10.4:1 with a Fel Pro 1011-2 gasket.

TFS 2 cam (i know, not the best. but it and the heads were $1300 on craigslist... plus itll rumble a bit )

Harland Sharp 1.6 roller rockers

Pro Products Hurricane (carb) manifold that ill just port match myself to 1262 gaskets

Comp timing chain, and their BIG *** 16" degree wheel. just because...

Melling HV oil pump

Canton 7qt road race pan and pickup tube

and the new FAST EZ EFI complete set (hence the carb manifold).

Meziere elec. water pump w/ idler. im still using the SN timing cover and front accesories for space purposes...

and some ARP studs and stuff.

and thats it. my bank account is officiallylet me know what you think of the combo, and just an FYI: ill be happy with ~375 crank hp (itll beat that for sure).

a few things i need help with:

what MSD dist. should i get? i want a mech/vac one.

what the hell do i do about ignition chores? i want to get an MSD 6AL, but where from there? do i use the TFI coil from my 95? do i need a regular coil? help here is GREATLY needed lol.

valve covers... i know, i cant decide between the TF tall black ones, or the Ford Racing tall black ones with red lettering. HELP!!!!!!! lol.

anything else im missing or need info on let me know.

sadly, this is probably the end of the 5.0 section for me. ive been spending wayyyyy too much time of ffcobra.com and the next Mustang i build is going to be a New Edge 2000 Cobra R clone with a (relatively speaking) stout 4.6 2V in it.
