Default explorer intake manifold

im getting all the parts and supplies together to put new head gaskets on my 88lx. i pretty much have everything but my upper and lower intake manifold gaskets. my problem is i have an explorer upper and lower and im not sure what year motor the intake is from. ive been told that regardless, the lower intake manifold gasket is the same as the original oem 5.0 mustang gasket. is this true? and so how to i figure out which year explorer this intake manifold is from to get the upper gasket????? thanks

i used that number and called oreillys. they said the set was like 50 bucks. then he just looked up the upper and lower gaskets for a 99 explorer. he had a felpro set for 15 bucks. whats up with that you think?????

paper POS gaskets versus the better ones that I listed for you.

If you want to do it cheap, go for it.... its not my car.

Blue RTV always works,, just need expert advice on set time before making the joint,
I'm sure you can ask and a big poster will have an answer.

Take the intake to FORD and ask the guy at the parts counter, if that doesn't work, garlok, garfoil, red rubber, or even that blue fel-pro paper someone said was POS, that I have personally used to make gaskets to seal in HUNDREDS of pounds of steam in my trade, you can make all but head gaskets with the right gasket material, a ball pein hammer, and a razor knife.
