hey fellas im posting this for my buddy with an 89 5.0 with stock e7 heads
he was wondering if you have to change anything with swapping out the stock cam to an e303. thanks

 

springs and retainers at the minimum.

heads and intake should be done too, as well as using that E303 for a doorstop or a hood prop-rod...

its gonna be done eventually, theres no reason to take it apart twice...

 

he has the trickflow upper and lower w/ calibrated maf, what kind of springs and retainers would you recommend?

 

the trick flow ones they make for the E7's will do fine, but E7's are the bane of anything fast...

 

well i guess hes gonna end up getting tf heads but thats probly not gonna be until spring so he just wants to throw the cam in before the season is over

 

tell him to throw the cam in the garbage and buy a less ****ty one.

Any recommendations on a low maintenance cam with good performance?
