advice
Okay, got a 1990 mustang coupe, stock 5.0, guy says it was rebuilt 306 with westco pistons, but im not holding my breathe, mabye I should check this before getting parts for the build and ordering a custom camshaft?
My plan was... (I have $3000 dollars)
afr185cc heads, FlowTechInduction custom grind camshaft, holly systemax intake? I want to make a good combo to mabye later supercharge OR possibly stroke to 347. most likly supercharge.
and of course supporting mods, fuel pump, 24 or 30lb injectors, 70mm throttle body & 75mm mass air, tune
looking for 320 on motor. advice on build? Doable with 3000?

go over on the corral.net.....the gt-40 humpers live over there and swear by such and rave over the results they get vs cost..plenty of gt-40 combos at 300 rwhp over there, but it takes the right combo and massaging of such to achieve such results

im kind of pretty set on afr185cc heads and custom cam and good intake, because I may want to supercharge it in the future is this a bad idea? Could I mabye talk to flowtech inductions and they set me up with a combo?
What yall think? I want to spend this 3000 the best I can on the motor.
and i want 320 or greater on all motor 302. Which im sure will require a really good cam.
or I would go with a gt40 heads and intake, and ? cam? If I got over 300 with the gt40 setup and it was alot less money I would definitely do that!

^^^the gt-40 set ups, the few I've seen have had the heads ported to death, lightweight valvetrains, various ots cams have been used and most have had all the supporting mods such as gears, exhaust, matched tb and mafs and dyno tunes to max out the combos, alot of time is spent on attention to detail such as making sure all port alignments and transitions are spot on, oil system mods are often made and so forth.....what I often find funny are the owners of these combos will often post up and play it off and make it sound as if they just slapped a bunch of junk they had laying around for a few beans, however upon further investigation such is not the case nor even close, they'll talk as if it's as easy as just getting a used set of gt-40's, slap a tfs 1 cam and a holley systemax on and presto 300-330 rwhp but disappointed is one when such is not achieved right after the bolt together.........I'd talk to ED at Flowtech.....he'll set you up with a proven combo, he's done more than a few cams for me

new idea.......
sleeper.
vortech supercharger 8-10lb boost, 42lb injectors, big throttlebody and mass air flow, 255lph fuel pump, mabye an inline fuel pump, holly intake mabye, long tube headers with full exaust.
Would this get me to 350? or mabye a little better?
oh and it currently has electric fan alum. radiator 373 gears gt40 intake and aftermarket pistons and "said" ported e7.
