5.0 rebuild
Hello my name is jeff and im new to the site as well as rebuilds. I have a 302 block thats bored .030 over with stock crank, kb performance 12cc dished pistons, comp cams 31-226-3 cam kit (lifters, springs, timing set, cam) gt40p heads with stock valves, gt40 cobra intakes with stock tb and maf, running an intercooled vortech v1 charger at 10 psi. Does anyone know about how much power I will have and if my setup is ok. Thanks

dont really know but I have a customer of mine that runs a set up close to yours. His car runs 7.00s in the 1/8 mile that's pretty darn fast for what it is. I would run a big T/B and Bigger Mass air also IMO.

Probably 350 HP ish. The biggest improvement is not even at the motor, Some 4.10 gears will bring that colt to life. If your new to rebuilds, I'm guessing it wont even run for more than 5 min. But I have been wrong before. get someone who knows what there doing and ask them to help you.

that 350 quote was about 100+ shy of what you'll have.
are the heads ported at all ? is the intake a cobra or explorer lower?, does the lower say BA or AA after the part number. BA is explorer and small ported, AA is cobra / real gt40
if it's explorer lower and unported heads you'll make just about 200-225 when it's back together

Dont be discourage by ignorance thats the way to learn most anything!
your combo is a bit on the stockish side with a blower!
Is it intercooled? the T/B and MAf upgrade is really a must to get the most power from your setup!
case in point get a coffee straw and take a deep breath and blow really hard and thats close to what you are gonna be doing to your blower!
Why that cam choice???? do you have an older engine or what? If its a roller engine and you went reg hydraulic flats then you took a few steps back then.

dont worry get the bigger T/B and mass air the heads will be just fine and the intake will work also Like I said my customer has nothing more then a 306 with a e-cam he does have a ported real Cobra intake 70mm T/B flat top pistons unported GT40ps shorty headers and full 2.5 exhaust with 42# injectors and a 95mm draw through mass air yes 95mm. C4 and 4000 stall 410 gears and a full weight hatch and all the accessory's runs 7.0?s all day long with 10 psi of intercooled boost at the intake. do the math ET weight of a hatch lx. it makes good HP and this is done with NO tune/Chip at all and stock timing on street gas. 7.00 in the 1/8 is low 11s to high 10s in the 1/4 so like I said the power with most of the parts you have will come to you. Have fun with it.
