Bad guages?

Default Bad guages?

89 lx 5.0. The car was originally a 4 cyl thats been converted. The temperature gauge starts climbing if i turn the headlights or the fan on, and drops back off immediatly when i turn them off. The volt gauge drops when i turn them on as well, and it also moves up and down with the turn signals. I thought the cluster might have been bad cause none of the lights in it worked, so i put one from an 89 gt in it and its doing the same thing. No lights either. Any ideas what i need to do to fix it?

The temp./headlight thing is a common issue, A LOT of people have the same problem. The best thing is probably get a good set of aftermarket gauges. The other option is to learn to live with it. I just deal with it so I can put money elsewhere, for now. The lights may be a wiring issue in your dash, fuse, or something else since it is ALL the lights in 2 different clusters.
