Default My new project

Hey guys, kinda new to the 5.0 world, I owned an 88 GT for about three weeks before going to a 96 GT and then an 04 Mach 1. But now im back to a 95 5.0. Just wanted show her off a little bit. Any tips would be appreciated lol. The car has 160k miles and still good oil pressure on the original engine. Plans are full new edge dark charcoal interior swap with black/black 03-04 cobra seats, t56, forged and stroked(not sure what size yet) and eventually a single turbo setup.

if you plan for a turbo set up in the future, do yourself a favor now, plan for an aftermarket block and build upon a sturdy foundation

Yeah, I have been looking at DSS short blocks. But I am going to talk to Andy from TMS about how I should plan this build.

DSS blocks are still stock blocks, and wont hold up.

You need an AFTERMARKET BLOCK... like a Boss or Dart

you dont need an aluminum block.... and yes, they really are $4500!

The boss is about $1200-$1500, and you should NOT buy anything from DSS.

Dart blocks can be had on Summitracing.com

eff stroking the stock motor at all if you have a turbo in the works.

add turbo instead of bolt ons. make 450rwhp with ease. get bored with that, turbo it up to 550rwhp, blow the motor, install dart 347, and make 650 with ease.

wish I would have done that instead of all the crap I've done.

If I pop the 347 in my car at any time in the near future, I plan to put a boss blocked 351w in my car. Probably going to spray the ever living **** out of it too!
