Default Rad selection help.

Hi guys need some advice again. I'm about to purchase a rad for my 408w powered foxbody.
I'm running a c4. Now should i get a rad that has a trans cooler with it as well?
I already have a seperate trans cooler i'm using as well.
Car is pure track use only. Reason for asking is do i want the engine coolant temp to be heating the trans fluid?
Wouldn't you think it'd stay cooler with just a single cooler for the trans?I hope i'm making sense would like some opinions before i buy.

just run the external cooler you have and make sure airflow across it is good and what I recommend is run a deep sump pan on the tranny with cooler fins so it can pic airflow up across it from under the car, these two things together keep the c-4 nice and cool

track use only car if you get running rounds back to back the trans is gone to get hot trust me been there done that I even lost a pump busing and seal due to the heat before. That is also one of the major issues with a C4 they dont hold much fluid and getting the heat out of them can be tough. I have moved up to a trans cooler with a fan on it for our car that is one of the added things this year. So I have not got to try it.

I would run both the radiator cooler and the largest aftermarket cooler in series, this way the trans fluid warms up faster to operating temperature but the overall temperature of the fluid will be cooler because the radiator cooler drops the trans temp, then it goes through the aftermarket cooler and cools down further, two is always better than one. Buy a radiator with the automatic cooler fittings, you can always keep the cooler openings plugged and use the radiator for a manual transmission, this way you have a dual purpose radiator, two is better than one, you dig?
