I guess it all depends on how fast the cars you rode in were...?? I took my buddy for a ride in mine tonight, he has a supercharged c-6 vette, I did a run on the motor and then I cracked the bottle.....lets just say he was impressed

I'm not overly impressed with my 410's but I'll take them over my 308's any day. They still pull harder.

If I knew then what I know now I would have went with 456 gears. This is on a stock engine however. Once I start making more power the 410s may be just right for me.

Seriously? My 87 has 3.73 with a 5 speed it sucks ***! mainly driving around town! I would definatly swap to a taller gear, especially since it is going to be for my wife once it is done!

And for the statement of if you dont have a 4.10 you dont wanna go fast, that is a moron talking!

seriously?...

my NPI 4.6 had 4.10's when i got it and it would DESTROY my old 95 with its 3.08's, and my 95 had a MUCH stronger engine...

you want to get 2 identical cars on fat n skinnies, 1 with 3.55's and 1 with 4.10's and race them? who do you think is gonna get across the line first...?

wahhhhhhhhhh im too scared to go fast wahhhhhhhhhhhhh

if 3.08's and 2.73's were so great, why do diesel trucks like my Pete 387 (runs 3.78's) and my dads F350 Powerjoke (runs 3.73's) use a shorter rear end gear?

IMHO any gear that doesnt start with a "4" is garbage

There are not perfect senarios like identical cars with just the difference in gears! FTW there are no 2 identical engines! they can be built the exact same and run completely different!

Its all about application, not if it isnt 4.blah blah it is no good! as far as who crosses the line first, who knows who`s gonna spin whose gonna miss a gear???? if you know the answer then by all means you win this argument!

My point is that it is IGNORANT to say get a 4.10 or you will go slow!

What about the variables like tire size, wheel size, rubber compound, etc! do you want drivability or a racecar, cruiser or weekend warrior or DD.
its all in what you want the damn thing to do! So if your statement is correct if i wanna go really fast then i should use a set of 5.13`s and buy a truck and trailer, thats alright i love my 3.55`s.

so youre gonna say that going from 3.55's to 4.10's automatically make it a race car that you cant drive everyday, wont have any fun in it, and wont be any faster than the stock gears or 3.55's?...

btw, with a 26" tire, 6000 is 120mph with 4.10's and i bet theres only a handful of people on here that even come close to that trap speed...
